Alternative Process - Gel Medium

For this process, I decided to do another photo representing personality. Today, how people think and feel is shown not so much by actions, but by items. People make lots of statements by wearing certain clothes, like baggy sweaters versus ripped skinny jeans, so I wanted to challenge myself by doing a portrait without a person. I decided to not show someone doing something, or feeling something, but holding something. In this photo, the subject is holding a pair of glasses and blue headphones. The headphones are blue, and blend in very well with the blue background, showing a subtle statement, but not a big one. I chose to use Beats headphones because they are a pair of headphones that rely more on brandname for their notability. This shows how the subject likes to show off a bit. The other item is a pair of black, thick-rimmed glasses -- a popular hipster/geek fashion statement, but also a practical item.
